The short version: Anchor & Flow stores your household data to power the app. We don't sell your data, show you ads, or share it with third parties for marketing. Your vault data is encrypted. You can delete everything anytime.
1. Who we are
Anchor & Flow is a family home management application operated by Anchor & Flow LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We can be reached at support@anchorandflowapp.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what's necessary to run the app:
- Account information — your email address and display name, used to create and identify your account.
- Household data — tasks, brain dump items, meals, shopping lists, calendar events, Safe Harbor emergency plans and contacts, and other content you enter into the app. This is stored in our database (Supabase) so it syncs across your devices.
- Vault data — inventory, gift tracking, pet records, celebrations, and other Anchor Vault content you choose to save.
- Usage data — basic technical logs such as error reports and feature usage, used to improve the app. We do not track individual user behavior for advertising.
- Device information — browser type and version, used to ensure compatibility.
- Location (optional) — if you turn on the weather feature, we ask for your device's location to show your local forecast. You can decline, and you can remove a saved location at any time in the app. We never use location for advertising or tracking.
We do not collect payment card details (handled by Stripe) or any data from third-party sources.
3. How we use your data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Anchor & Flow service
- To sync your data across your household's devices
- To power Compass, our AI assistant — relevant household data is sent to Anthropic's API to generate briefings and suggestions. See Section 6.
- To send you product updates and notifications you've opted into
- To respond to support requests
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
4. Data storage and security
Your household data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, hosted in the United States. We use row-level security policies to ensure your data is only accessible to your account.
Your data is protected in transit with HTTPS and at rest by our database provider's encryption and strict row-level security policies, so it is only accessible to your household's accounts. We are working toward additional client-side encryption for the most sensitive vault categories and will update this policy when it ships.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong password.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Their privacy policy →

We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
6. AI features (Compass)
Compass is the AI assistant inside Anchor & Flow. It generates daily briefings, weekly reviews, prep suggestions, and answers to your questions by sending relevant household data to Anthropic's Claude API through our secure server. Depending on the feature, this can include:
- Your tasks, brain dump items, calendar events, meal plans, and shopping lists
- First names and details of household members you've added — including children — so Compass can refer to your family naturally
- Learning and school records, chore assignments, pet details, packing lists, and family memories you've logged
- Answers you give Compass when it asks about your family's preferences and routines
This data is sent only to generate your response. Anthropic does not use data sent via its API to train its models. Daily briefings are generated once per day and stored with your household data rather than regenerated on every view.
You're in control. Compass only sees what you've put into Anchor & Flow. If you'd rather keep something out of AI features entirely, simply don't add it to the app, or contact us and we'll help.
A setting to turn Compass off entirely is coming to Settings. Until then, AI features only run when you open or use them — and you can contact us at any time to discuss your data.
7. Children's privacy (COPPA)
Anchor & Flow is designed for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@anchorandflowapp.com and we will delete it promptly.
Family members under 13 may be referenced within a parent or guardian's account (for example, in meal planning or household tasks), but they do not create their own accounts.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access — you can view all your data within the app at any time.
- Correction — you can edit or update your data directly in the app.
- Deletion — you can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@anchorandflowapp.com. We will complete deletion within 30 days.
- Data portability — contact us to request an export of your data.
- Email opt-out — all marketing emails include an unsubscribe link.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use browser localStorage to store your session, preferences, and cached household data for offline use. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. If you use the landing page at anchorandflowapp.com, basic analytics may be collected by Vercel.
10. Subscriptions and billing
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We store only your subscription status (active, cancelled, past due) and Stripe customer ID — not your payment details. See our Terms of Service for cancellation and refund terms.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Continued use of Anchor & Flow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
